During labor I will recommend position changes, as
necessary, and I may suggest herbs and homeopathics, as well. Once you reach the time to give birth, I will deliver your baby. Or, if desired, I assist the father or
other family member in delivering the baby.
Upon birth, I will check your and your baby's vital statistics
and perform a newborn examination. I will remain

Postpartum Visits
In general,
you will receive a postpartum visit at your home usually within
24-48 hours of birth. Then again at 3-5 days after the birth.
Then, you come to her at 2 weeks and 6 weeks, more or less,
as needed.
At these visits I will weigh the baby, check your
and your baby's vital statistics, assist with breastfeeding
as necessary, and provide any other counseling, education
or support you need.
Breastfeeding Support
I am happy to provide breastfeeding support for new
and experienced mothers as needed. Breastfeeding can be a
challenge at first. The help and support of your midwife
can make a big difference.
We offer breast pump rental for
moms who want to utilize this technology. We also provide
education and options for moms who are unable to breastfeed
or do not wish to breastfeed.
Newborn Care
You will receive personalized instruction on how to care
for your newborn as needed. This includes how to hold your
baby, how to feed your baby, how to put your baby down, and
all other aspects of newborn care.
I am available to you for consultation after you
give birth, if you have questions, concerns, or just need
someone to talk to.
